What degree programs are available at CU?

At Chiist University, Students receive instruction from faculty with real-world and academic experience, for academic, personal and business application. Our degrees are at the bachelors, masters and doctoral levels that offer choices and growth opportunities.

Our curriculum is designed to provide students the opportunity to incorporate cultural based research to achieve relevant educational skills that they can use to improve and uplift their communities, as well as for their own personal growth and objectives. Explore our undergraduate and graduate degree options in a range of disciplines, including Business, Leadership, Chiist education, and Nanoscience. You may complete your degree online or at our campus (coming soon) in Nigeria.

Chiist Education

Chiist University offers degrees that allow our students to begin their college education in culturally enlightening fields such as degree in Chiism. Our Bachelors of Arts degree in Chiist education is designed to prepare our students to work with a matriculated priest to head a Chiist Ministry, work as a Community Welfare Specialist (CWS) or as a Communal Assistance Advocate (CEA) in the community. Community Welfare Specialist (CWS) is the community resource agent who seeks out community needs and advocates with the leadership of the community to procure necessary and practical services. Communal Assistance Advocate (CAA) assists, the poor, the sick and the abused to seek resources to alleviate the challenges. The graduates may work in a Chiist Ministry or may establish their own service programs.

The Bachelor’s degree is the first step into the world of Chiist education. It provides both foundational and specialized knowledge of the Chiist spiritual culture.
At Chiist University, A Bachelor of Arts degree in Chiism is completed entirely online giving you the flexibility to earn a culturally and spiritually exciting experience. In the very near future the on-ground component will be introduced. If you have a high school diploma or GED, you can begin your CU preparation.

Master of Arts Degree in Leadership

The necessity of strong leadership across all sectors is so critical and in the 21 century, the need is growing dramatically. Many organizations are demanding genuine leaders who can engender conviction, empower others, and find pioneering solutions to today’s dilemmas, disputes and challenges.

Chiist University’s School of Leadership is dedicated to providing the knowledge foundation requisite for globally capable and moral leaders to move their communities forward, institutions, and the world. To accomplish this vision, Chiist University is offering an M.S. in Leadership degree curriculum to help you discover your individual leadership approach and use them to inspire others and construct extremely efficient, varied work teams. Through the M.S. in Leadership program, you can learn to increase a broad approach to leadership that crosses useful areas and increases your ability to influence people and guide them to a collective end.

Renewable Energy

Renewable energy is energy that comes from natural resources such as wind, rain, sunlight, tides, and geothermal heat, which are naturally replenished or renewable. Chiist University is a leader in renewable energy strategies and sustainability practices.

From renewable fuels to wind power and sustainable design, CU is pioneering the way in current efforts toward an energy-independent future. Through online and hands-on training in Renewable Energy our students are given exceptional technical skills to launch their careers in sustainable alternative energy technologies around the world.

Business Administration

Chiist University’s Business Administration program puts working professionals on a comprehensible path to enduring learning and success. Maximizing opportunities, making important contributions to profession and community, realizing potential describes success, and Chiist University will help you achieve it.

Our program combines academic theory with realistic application so you achieve knowledge and experience in 3 areas vital to business and society—and core to CU’s mission of encouraging positive social change:

General Program: The diverse curriculum of this program is ideal for those who want to develop basic skills in written and oral communication, quantitative analysis, and computer usage for today’s most sought-after occupations. Most importantly, you’ll increase your capacity to reason critically and act ethically in the dynamic environment of the 21st century. (This concentration is not available to all students. Information Technology

At Chiist University, we realize that technology has become a highly important area of study. In Africa, there is a dire need for people who have expertise in this area. This field is growing extensively and incorporates the use of computers, technology and the Internet. Its growth is so rapid and requires the expertise of individuals trained as graduates, to enhance the industry, improve and increase productivity. The (IT) degree will get graduates ready for careers in IT service, project development, technical work, data entry, communications and management. These areas are in dire need in Africa but with universal application.

Our faculty of Computers and Information Technology will provide the students the necessary skills for a four year degree in Science (Information Technology). This is a quality curriculum with experienced faculty who will assist the students to achieve success in this field.

What are my tuition and payment options?

Tuition at Chiist University is from alternatives that the student may choose as financial options. It is important that you choose options that are best for you. It is imperative to know that at the outset, this university is not seeking financial Aid from any federal Government program. As a private university, our tuition is based on the financial options our students may find convenient. But because everyone’s situation is different, it is important that you discuss your payment plan with one of our finance counselors before you enroll.

Payment Options:

Ready Money Arrangement

Our ready money arrangement presents you the benefit of paying for a single course at a time, instead of a whole semester or year at once. This process is an accommodation of your financial situation without hurting your budget.
Some companies pay their students back for their educational expenses as part of the benefit of working for the organization. This tuition reimbursement plan is part of their worker remuneration package. Students may receive all or part of their educational funding from their company. Speak to your HR division for additional pertinent information.

Educational Grants

We offer educational grants from various grants making organizations. These cover tuition, books and other express educational expenses. You shall be assigned a finance counselor who would advise you of this alternative.

How is Chiist University accredited?

Accreditation:

Nigeria: Chiist University is licensed by the Chiist Commission for Independent Education. The Chiist (Godian) Religion is incorporated under the land (perpetual-succession) Act, Cap: 98 of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under Certificate No. 1247 of 1974;

USA: Chiist University operates under the Chiist Higher Learning Corporation online and on-ground (under construction) in Nigeria, through registration, general or specific approvals, consent or exemption.

Are my college credits transferable?

You may be able to convert previous credit at Chiist University. We evaluate courses taken at internationally, regionally- or nationally-accredited colleges and universities.

How long does it take to earn a degree from CU?

Select from degrees in a range of academic fields, or investigate our ongoing educational choices if you are interested in a course, certificate or proficiency expansion credits. The majority of our programs are broadly obtainable, but some may be only available in an online format. Course availability is based upon student demand. Some programs may not begin until there is adequate interest among potential students. Please check with your enrollment advisor for additional information.
