A letter from the president of the foundation

Chiist Higher Learning Corporation and its donors will dedicate its efforts on building Chiist University preparatory schools, the village of hope projects, scholarships for Chiist University students, and address the failures of the standard educational systems to. Additionally we strive to address extreme poverty in Africa and African communities globally. We encourage african donors as well as all others who wish to help Africans help themselves. We address these issues because we believe they are the biggest barriers that keep people from making the most of their lives.

For each program we fund, we look for innovative ideas to fund that will ultimately expand our programs and remove barriers: we look for new techniques to help farmers in africa grow more food and earn more money; new methods to help students learn the relevance of their education to assist their community development. The role of philanthropy is to support programs that hopefully will be successful, but if not, we learn from the failures to develop other processes.

Our motto is “akum diri ubani” which means that our wealth lies in our communities. Chiist Higher Learning Corporation is determined to be an instrument to that end.

Dr. Uwa Onyioha-Osimiri
